FrontPage is not always cooperative when uploading each site to your folder on the North Lake Web server, so you will need to use an FTP program to submit your assignments. Since you are enrolled in an educational institution, you have access via the Web to many free FTP programs for download. A very user-friendly program is WS_FTP. Also, you can find additional FTP information on page J-16 of your textbook. (For those who wish to use FrontPage, please read the Upload Instructions when ready to publish your sites. But keep in mind that we have 16 units to appear in the Bookwork folder instead of 5 projects as shown in these instructions.) |

In all units that require you to use a server to publish your sites, use the North Lake Web server: nlecommerce1.dcccd.edu. You do not need to install IIS to work through the remaining chapters. Simply, upload your files to the appropriate unit folder on the server as you are completing the exercises. (Note: if you get an error message with the Hit Counter feature, send me an email, and I will check with the Webspinner about the FrontPage Server Extensions on the server.) |
