Terms, Abbreviations & Icons
- Bookwork = work through the chapter, performing all exercises. Bookworks are graded assignments. The first class session of each week will be used for bookwork. (In evening classes, the 1st 1/2 of the class will be used for bookwork.)
- Readings = articles or chapters that should be completed BEFORE the class session
- Topics = short graded papers or projects
- Quizzes = short multiple-choice quiz on a specific .
- Activities = ungraded assignments done in class that expand on material on the textbook or from lecture.
- References = documents provided for additional information. You will never be tested on a reference document. If you're falling behind in class, the reference documents should be ignored.
- Admin = administrative items needed to make the class run more smoothly.
- Notes = tips on how to handle particular assignments.
- Dreamweaver HOT = Dreamweaver Hands-On Training, your textbook.
- WOW = Optional reading from THE WEB DESIGN WOW! BOOK, Jack Davis & Susan Merritt, Peachpit Press. ISBN No. 0-201-88678-2. You may purchase this text at the North Lake Bookstore. The suggested readings will help you develop design techniques. You will not be tested over this material.
