Terms, Abbreviations & Icons

  • Readings = articles or chapters that should be completed BEFORE the class session
  • Topics = short graded papers or projects
  • Quizzes = short multiple-choice quiz on designated material
  • Activities = ungraded assignments done in class that expand on material on the textbook or from lecture.
  • Exercises = graded practices covering specific objectives. Exercises generally will be completed in one class session.
  • Projects = graded assignments. Projects take from two class sessions to an entire semester.
  • References = documents provided for additional information. You will never be tested on a reference document. If you're falling behind in class, the reference documents should be ignored.
  • Admin = administrative items needed to make the class run more smoothly.
  • Notes = tips on how to handle particular assignments.
  • HOT = textbook, Dreamweaver Hands-On Training
  • WOW = textbook, Web Design WOW Book

Note On readings: I've typically found students who read the chapters BEFORE practicing the techniques in Dreamweaver don't understand the readings. For this reason we work in reverse order from most classes. I'll lecture on a chapter and then assign it as reading.

  Bookwork is a part pf your final grade. Please complete all chapters and upload those that have a workable excercise with them.
  One on One's will be held Wednesday Dec. 4th and Friday the 6th. These are to see where you stand with your concepts and to help apply the finishing touches to your last project. We will also be reviewing the last couple of concepts. If you have questions or concerns please be present .

Project Presentation: Monday Dec. 10 and Wednesday Dec. 12th. Please be present for in class critique and presentation. This is part of your grade.
All of your bookwork is due for grading. The last day of class is Wednseday Dec. 12th. I will not accept anything for grading after Sat. 14th at 8PM. I am responsible for turining in grades and final rolls on Monday the 16th. Please be sure that all work is completed and uploaded by the specified time.
